Wynn retires from Lehighton Post Office after 31 years of employment

Harry Wynn III 61, has more hours to devote to his veteran causes after Postmaster Christine McAvoy announced Wynn's retirement after working for the United States Postal Service for 31 years.

Wynn said that while his primary job was working as a clerk, he had also been in charge of several post offices, including Lake Harmony, Kresgeville and Albrightsville locations.McAvoy praised Wynn for his dedication and service to the U.S. Postal Service and read a certificate from Ed Burke congratulating Wynn on his retirement. Burke is the district manager.Wynn joined the U.S. Postal Service in November 1978.Wynn has been very involved in the community, especially veteran's issues.He and his wife, Beverly, celebrated 32 years of marriage. They have a son, Harry IV; and a daughter-in-law, Kristen; and a grandson, Kasey, 21 months old.
