Officials of the Eastern District of the Pennsylvania Department of Health announced today that the mass public inoculation campaign for the swine flu will begin on Tuesday in Carbon County and continue throughout the month of November. The sites of the inoculations are St. Michael's Church, Lansford, and the Lehighton National Guard Armory. Health officials are concerned that an outbreak of this type virus could produce an epidemic similar to the 1918-1919 influenza that was responsible for over a half million deaths.
