State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an incident at a worship center in Schuylkill County.
Troopers said the incident occurred at the Vraj Worship Center, at 15 Manor Road (SR895), in Wayne Township. Troopers said unknown persons arrived at the center and shot pink and white paintballs at two of the Vraj Campus entrance signs. They then proceeded to damage the first sign by removing it and breaking it into pieces. Troopers said the sign was written in Hindi.They then removed a second sign (in English) and took it from the scene. Both signs measure about five and half by four feet and about two and a half inches thick. The signs are made of high density polyurethane and are maroon in color and have engraved gold lettering.The signs are valued at $6,000 apiece.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 593-2000.
