"We really appreciate the jobs that you do."Tom Lager, vice president, operations, Palmerton Telephone Company, said items such as hot chocolate, instant soup, and candy, first aid supplies, baby wipes, socks, and long underwear were donated through the program.Lager said all the money that was collected will be donated to Operation: Touch of Home, based in Brodheadsville, Monroe County.Operation: Touch of Home, is a military support group that was begun in 2004 by Dean and Sharon Green in preparation of their son's deployment to Fallujah, Iraq.
