The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling on the Northeastern Extension (I-476) that the Lehigh Tunnel will be closed to southbound traffic for three nights: October 25, 26 and 27 from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. for tunnel maintenance.
All traffic will be directed to the northbound tunnel.Monday through Thursday between 7 p.m. and 11 a.m. motorists exiting the Lehigh Tunnel northbound, should be prepared for overnight intermittent lane closures when traveling between the tunnel and Mahoning Valley (Exit #74) Interchange because of additional maintenance.Stay alert for slow moving or stopped traffic and use extra caution when approaching the Lehigh Tunnel Sunday evening through Thursday morning.The work is weather sensitive and may be delayed or rescheduled.
