State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary at a Carbon County residence.
Troopers said the home of Danny T. Seiler, 37, of 520 Center St., Parryville, was entered sometime between 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, and 4:40 p.m. on Monday. Entry was gained by prying open a basement door with a blunt object.Removed from the home were the following: Sony camcorder, large duffle bag empty, two small gym bags, one containing photographs, two Playstation 2 along with an unknown quantity of video games, Savage Mark two rifle, .22-caliber inside a gun case, about 350 DVD movies, and two wrist watches (Bulova and Swiss). Troopers also said cans of beer and food were removed from the refrigerator.Troopers said the camcorder, large duffle bag, two small gym bags, the rifle and DVD movies were later found in a wooded area off Harrity Road. The estimated value of the items still missing is $2,100.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
