The Friends of the Dimmick Library will host a poetry reading on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 3-5 p.m. at the Dimmick annex house at 58 Broadway in downtown Jim Thorpe.

Local resident Richard DeFeo will discuss and do readings from his newly published book of poetry "Haiku of Observations and Insights for Meditation and Pleasure."The presentation will be accompanied by a wine and cheese sampling.For more information call the library at (570) 325-2131.
