Schuylkill GOP holds slim lead over Demos in voter registration

There are 93,737 registered voters associated with 29 different parties in Schuylkill County according to official figures released by the registration bureau with the Republican Party still remaining as the majority party but by a narrow margin. All will be eligible to vote in the coming General Election on Nov. 3.

They were, Frank Gengemi and Morris Brill, both of Pottsville.Appointed to the resolution board which will set in the election center on election night to rule on spoiled ballots were Edward Parket and Attorney Chester Corse, Pottsville; Adam Pancake, Tremont; and Charles Skip Miller, Orwigsburg, each to be paid $100.Hired were 18 rovers who will circulate among the precincts to assist voters with the electronic voting machines.
