Paranormal Truth to present at Tamaqua Public Library Oct. 26

An upcoming program at the Tamaqua Public Library will separate fact from fantasy.

Pennsylvania Paranormal Truth will be at the Tamaqua Library on October 26, at 6 p.m., for a presentation about ghosts and legends such as The Jersey Devil, Bigfoot, Raystown Ray, Mothman and other crytids.Tim Heckman of Pennsylvania Paranormal Truth says his group will separate fact from fiction on these and other subjects. On display that night will be replica prints that were casted, such as the Patterson Print from the from Bluff Creek in California. To this day people are undecided if Bigfoot is real, Heckman said. Also under discussion will be the chupacabra print from Puerto Rico, the Orang Pendek from Indonesia and the Yeti. The paranormal team will share all investigations it has done from as far west as Indianapolis, IN, to as far south as Savannah, GA, and at other points including New York and Maryland. The presentation will include discussion about investigations done in PA and local purported hauntings in Schuylkill County. The group does not investigate cemeteries and is sensitive to issues of trespassing and vandalism. In addition, Pennsylvania Paranormal Truth believes that nobody should ghosthunt in cemeteries out of respect for the dead. The team, headed by Heckman and Mike Morris, also will also show common mistakes which people interpret as paranormal and what is real and what is not. Also under discussion will be the truth behind shadow people, emf, sounds, digital photography, and cold spots. The group's investigations differ in approach from those of other paranormal groups. The public is encouraged to attend.
