Throughout the summer the Tamaqua Street Machine Association held monthly cruisers at Heisler's Dairy Bar, Lewistown Valley. The donations received at these cruises were saved and distributed to the four fire companies in Tamaqua. Present from left to right for the check presentation was TSMA President, Mark Blasko; American Hose representative, William Weaver; Citizens Fire Company representatives Jason Hartz and Tim Phillips; South Ward Fire Company representative, Kevin Breiner; Smokey the Bear and Tamaqua Mayor, Chris Morrison. Not present for the check presentation, but included in the donations was East End Fire Company.
