State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a fatal crash along Interstate 80 in Carbon County that occurred early on Tuesday morning.
Troopers said Lacey Moak, 18, of Mississippi, was traveling westbound about 4:50 a.m. when he lost control of his car at mile marker 283.3 in Kidder Township. The vehicle went onto the berm and into the median. Moak attempted to steer back onto the interstate but lost control a second time. The car then overturned several times.A back seat passenger, Franklin Hall, 20, of Michigan, was ejected from the vehicle as he was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.Moak and front seat passenger Christopher J. Andrews, 23, of California, were both wearing seat belts and sustained minor injuries, troopers said.
