State police at Lehighton reported investigating a two vehicle crash about 6:50 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, along SR248 in the area of the Riverwalck Saloon, in Parryville.

Troopers said Tabitha L. Chruscz, 40, no address given, was attempting to enter 248 from the saloon parking lot driving a Jeep Liberty, when she pulled into the path of a Toyota Corolla operated by Olga Nieves, 41, of Allentown, and a "T-Bone" type collision occurred.Chruscz, and passengers Kathleen M. Evans, and William A. Evans, of Laplata, Md., were reportedly not injured. Nieves and passengers Carmen Padilla, 43, and Jessica Padilla, 20, both of Allentown, all sustained minor injuries while a third passenger, Lizandro Jimenez, 19, also of Allentown, was not injured.Damages were heavy to both vehicles, troopers said. Assisting at the scene were Lehighton ambulance personnel and volunteers from the Parryville and Bowmanstown fire companies.
