A memorial poker run and car cruise will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, in memory of Scott Knauss, a 22-year member of the East Allen Township Volunteer Fire Department. Knauss served as a deputy chief, vice president and treasurer of the department and was an enthusiastic motorcycle rider, being a member of the Red Knights Firefighters Motorcycle Club and Elite Riding Group.
All motorcycles, classic cars, hot rods and other vehicles are welcome to participate in this event. Breakfast will be available at the Polk Township Fire Department (Route 209, Kresgeville) starting at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18. Registration will be held at the department from 10 a.m. to noon. There is a registration fee per driver and per passenger. All cars and motorcycles participating in the cruise must be in by 2:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.The 50-mile car cruise will begin at the fire department and continue through Monroe, Lehigh and Northampton counties, ending at the Bicentennial Park in Weaversville at 3 p.m.The event is sponsored by the Red Knights Firefighters Motorcycle Club, Pa. Chapter 18, the East Allen Township Volunteer Fire Department and MotorcycleRoads. US.
