The Panther Valley JROTC will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. in the JROTC classroom. All parents are invited for election of officers.PV Women's ClubThe first fall meeting of the Panther Valley Women's Club was held at the Viennese Villa last week. President Linda Miller presided. Upcoming events and meetings were planned, and committees were formed. Activities were announced and the club is open to having speakers, or entertainment from the valley.Any one interested in speaking or performing, should contact Vice President Sue Solt.A Halloween party is scheduled for Oct. 26 at the Villa at 6:30. Members are asked to dress in costume, and prizes will be awarded. Canned and non perishable food will be accepted for the food bank, and items to be donated to the hospital fifth floor will be taken.The club welcomes new members, and any questions can be answered by President Linda Miller at (570) 645-6162. The group meets the fourth Monday of each month unless a holiday is involved.NesquehoningVFW auxiliaryThe next meeting of the ladies auxiliary to VFW Post 8008 will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m., at the post home. The Rev. Burgess Gordon, pastor, will officiate at both services.The adult Sunday school will meet at 9:45 a.m. in the Coaldale church.
