DUI charges pending in Monroe

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported that driving under the influence (DUI) charges are pending against to Monroe County residents following separate incidents.

On Sunday, Oct. 4, about 3:04 a.m. officers wee dispatched to Glacier and Allegheny drives in Sierra View for a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers learned the parties involved left the scene and were now searching for their vehicle in the 1700 block of Glacier Drive. The two involved were found by police and identified as Daniel Williams, 24, of Manville, N.J., and Russell Williams, 46, of Blakeslee.Police said the domestic resulted with Daniel Williams was involved in a crash with Russell Williams' vehicle. The car was found in a front yard of a residence along Allegheny Drive under some pine trees.Daniel Williams was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, where he submitted to a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.On Saturday, Oct. 3, about 12:20 a.m. officers responded to a accident along SR196 in Mt. Pocono. At the scene officers learned a vehicle operated by Alexis Delavera, 23, of Blakeslee, left the roadway and struck a large rock. The vehicle then flipped over onto its roof and came to rest in a parkingn lot.Delavera was found to be under the influence and was taken to the PMC for treatment of injuries and a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.
