State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Carbon County residence.

Troopers said the home of Thomas P. McArdle, 46, of 15 Bowmans Rd., Lehighton, East Penn Township, was entered sometime between Oct. 2 and 4.Entry was gained by smashing an outer basement window. Once inside the criminals went to the upstairs of the home and removed the following items: jar of pennies, prescription medication, silver dollar coins, an engagement ring, wedding band and a Sentry fire-proof box. In the safe were stocks, CDs and personal documents.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
