45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, along SR534 near Meriwill Lane, Polk Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Timothy Mordaunt, 38, of Albrightsville, was westbound in a Toyota Avalon when multiple deer crossed the roadway causing him to stop abruptly. Christopher Murphy, 23, of Kunkletown, was behind Mordaunt.Troopers said the front of Murphy's Chrysler Concorde hit the rear of the Avalon.After impact the Concorde went onto the berm and struck an embankment and then a telephone pole.Mordaunt sustained a minor injury while Murphy was not hurt.Damages were disabling to the Concorde and minor to the Avalon.The pole was not damaged, troopers added.Troopers were assisted at the scene by Polk Township Fire Company volunteers.
