Theft, mischief incidents probed
Theft and acts of criminal mischief were reported probed by state police at Lehighton recently.
Barbara Ann Smith, 62, of 46 Blue Jay Drive, Bear Creek Lakes, Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, reported a 2008 E-Z golf cart was stolen from the driveway of her home. The cart is white in color, gas powered and valued at $6,800. The incident occurred overnight of Friday, Sept. 25, and Saturday.Christopher A. Sommers, 41, of Slatington, reported a AC condenser unit and a blower motor were removed from the area of Bank St. and SR248, in Bowmanstown. Troopers said the items were sitting outside a garage. The items are valued at $275. The incident occurred sometime between Sept. 21 and 24.Laura Ann Imperato, 43, reported a Smith & Wesson, silver in color, .38-caliber pistol was removed from her residence at Lot 2, Dueblers Trailer Park, Brodheadsville, Polk Township, Monroe County, sometime between July 20 and Thursday, Sept. 24.Several acts of criminal mischief are being probed.Arfan Realty, of Northampton, reported someone threw a large rock into an upstairs window of a residence it owns at 2315 57 Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. The incident was reported about 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24.Deena Marie Miller, 26, of 342 Village Rd., in Saylorsburg, Polk Township, reported someone cut the registration plate on her vehicle overnight of Sept. 4-5.Corey Miles Wentz, 34, of 1415 Stagecoach Road West, Saylorsburg, Towamensing Township, Carbon County, reported someone threw a stone into a window causing damages. The incident occurred sometime between 3 and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6.Darren E. Reinart, 48, of 144 Bear Creek Drive, Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, reported someone damaged a glass front door and window on his residence sometime between 4 p.m. on Sept. 21 and 11 p.m. on Sept. 22.Larry Borger, 64, of 632 Frantz Lane, Kunkletown, Eldred Township, Monroe County, reported someone smashed the front windos of two separate implement of husbandry with an unknown type object. The incident occurred about 11 p.m. on Saturday.Jake Brown, 20, of 3424 Walnut Rd., Kunkletown, Polk Township, reported someone smashed the front, side and rear windows of his 1996 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck while parked at his home.
