Teen cited for theft at Schuylkill Mall

A Northumberland County teen was arrested for retail theft following an incident at a store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township.

State police at Frackville said Tiffany Ann Dehoutaint, 18, of Coal Township, was stopped by loss prevention officers of the Sears store about 5 p.m on Saturday, Sept. 5, after she was allegedly observed removing a pair of Adidas sandals valued at $29.99 from the store. Troopers said it was a fourth offense for retail theft for Dehoutaint making it a felony three offense.She had previously been arrested for retail theft at the store on June 27 and at that time was given notice not to return to the store.Troopers took Dehoutaint into custody and she was arraigned before duty District Judge James Reilly, of Pottsville, on charges of retail theft and criminal trespass. She was unable to post the $7,500 percentage bail and was committed to the county prison in Pottsville.
