Several streets in Tamaqua will be paved this week. The work will done on Wednesday and Thursday, weather permitting.

The streets that will be paved this week include the following:Clay Street, between Washington and West.South Pine Street, between Cedar and East Cottage Avenue.Two sections of Owl Creek Road past the Upper Owl Creek Dam parking lot.Parking will be prohibited in the work areas and the affected streets will be closed for extended periods of time to accommodate construction. The streets will be posted in advance and drivers must move their vehicles from the posted areas. Vehicles that remain on the posted streets will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.Motorists traveling near these areas should expect delays and allow for additional travel time. Normal traffic patterns will be restored as soon as possible after the work is completed.Any questions may be directed to the municipal building, 320 E.
