Tamaqua High School Class of 1964 reunites
The 45th anniversary reunion of Tamaqua Area High School Class of 1964 was held Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Top of the 80's in West Hazleton.
The invocation was offered by the Rev. Franklin Schock. Master of ceremonies, Theodore Hafer, welcomed the class members and guests present. The Rev. Robert Smith offered the benediction.A moment of silence was held for 10 deceased class members since the last reunion, Richard Meiser, Susan (Hauze) Marshall, Betsy (Miller) Semko, Donna (Bilock) Arnoldi, Fred Valent, Joan (Bachert) Wagner, Ronald Faust, Kermit Kistler, Charlotte (Wagner) Katulka and Barry Freudenberger. Mary Brewer Etchison, former teacher and class advisor was also remembered.Prizes were awarded during the evening. Music was provided by "Just Music and Janice."Members of the reunion committee were, Thomas and Toni (Andrukitis) Jones, Diane (Hartung) Ronitz, David and Gayle (Jones) Hadesty, Theodore Hafer, Eileen (Zehner) Meiser, Gladys (Simek) Polgar, William Henry, Janet Keich, Richard Arculin, Penny (Krause) Sestakauskas, Dorothy Eberts, and Marie (Smolar) Terry. The class plans to celebrate its 50th reunion in 2014.
