The Shepherd House Food Pantry at Ebenezer E. C. Church will be open on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon. Recipients must reside within the Jim Thorpe School District.The pantry is located at 441 Center Avenue, Jim Thorpe.Call (570) 325-2855 for more information or to volunteer.It's back to school time and our community children need nutritious food for them to excel in school. If you are able, please donate a food item to the bin at the Jim Thorpe Market. Donations are always greatly needed and appreciated. Perishable or monetary donations can be dropped off at the church Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon.Support GroupThe bereavement support group, sponsored by St. Joseph's parish, will meet this evening, Tuesday, at 7 p.m. in the rectory. The group's sessions are open to anyone.If you have questions about the group, call (570) 325-3731.Sunday SchoolSunday School will resume at St. Mark's/St. John's Episcopal Church, on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 9:30 a.m.
