Fire companies from West Penn and East Penn townships responded to a vehicle fire Sunday afternoon in West Penn Township.

The alarm came in at 2:30 p.m. for a vehicle fire near the intersection of Lizard Creek Road, Route 895, and Walnut Lane.

When firefighters arrived on scene they found a sport utility vehicle in the corner of a large field fully involved in flames.

West Penn township police are investigating the incident.
