Fire companies from Carbon and Schuylkill counties responded to a working truck fire late Thursday afternoon near Coaldale.

The fire was reported on mining lands off the Third street gate near E. Lehigh Street.

When firefighters arrived on scene they found a large mining truck in flames. An immediate call went out for tankers. Fire companies were on scene for about two hours.
