Polk township firefighters were dispatched to a car and motorcycle fire at 10:30 a.m. Sunday on Mill Pond Road. While extinguishing the vehicles the body of a 55-year-old man was discovered inside the residence.

State police at Lehighton said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

The West End Community Ambulance and the Monroe County Coroner’s Office assisted State Police and the fire department at the scene.
