Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Kevin McGraw. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Tuesday: Adult Bible study at 6:30 p.m., currently studying the book of 2 Thessalonians.

Communion: Last Sunday of the month.

Trinity happenings

First Saturday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., is at 5 p.m. Sunday worship with Holy Communion begins at 9:30 a.m. Gluten free wafers are available to those with allergy issues.

The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. The church is air conditioned.

Do you love to sew or want to learn? Attention to youth grades 5 and up to attend a sewing group to complete a service project. Sessions will be 10 a.m. to noon July 9, 16, 23 and 30 in the youth room.

Trinity’s community Vacation Bible School Aug. 5-9, 6:30-8:30 p.m., with the theme “Who’s Your Neighbor? Learning to Love Like Jesus.” Free registration for children ages 3 through sixth grade. Volunteers are needed and welcomed to help.
